In Genesis 1:31, we read that "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good." This reminds us that creation, including the goods of the earth, is meant to be received with gratitude and used wisely. As G.K. Chesterton aptly put it, "We should thank God for beer and burgundy by not drinking too much of them." (G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy, 1908).While Chesterton doesn’t explicitly mention whiskey, he often writes about the virtue of moderation and the enjoyment of good things in life, including fine drinks. Whiskey, like a good cigar, has long been associated with gentlemanly refinement when enjoyed responsibly.

ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA
Take, O Lord, and receive my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding and my whole will. All that I am and all that I possess, Thou hast given me:
I surrender it all to Thee to be disposed of according to Thy will.Give me only Thy love and Thy grace; with these I will be rich enough and will desire nothing more.St Ignatius of Loyola, Pray for us!
